My vintage wishlist

Macintosh measurements

Have you got an old Mac sitting around doing nothing useful for you except taking up space? If the philosophy of this humble weblog doesn’t convince you about the usefulness of vintage Macs, or you simply just don’t know what to do with it, you can consider sending it to me.

I’m not looking for any vintage Mac, though. I have limited space as well. Still, there are some desktop and portable Macintoshes I’d like to own:

Desktops

  • Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh

Laptops

  • PowerBook 170
  • PowerBook Duo 2300c
  • PowerBook 2400
  • Black MacBook (specs don’t matter, but it has to be in working condition)
  • (If you have other Macintosh notebooks not listed here you want to donate, contact me anyway — I may be interested!)

Other vintage Apple hardware

  • Apple //c system
  • Apple QuickTake 200
  • Apple Studio Display LCD 15″ (the first one, in bondi blue colour; also mentioned in this Macworld article)
  • Apple IIGS monitor (See front) – It’s the AppleColor RGB monitor (See back and a detail of the label)
  • External speakers for the PowerMac G4 Cube
  • Original iPod
  • Original iPhone

Useful third-party accessories

  • Harman Kardon’s iSub (image)
  • Newer Technologies Ethernet Microdock for the PowerBook Duos
  • Griffin PowerMate

Vintage Media

  • SyQuest Cartridges: 44, 88 and 200MB capacity
  • 5.25″ Magneto-optical disks: 652MB and 1.2GB capacity

If you have one of these things and would like to sell or donate them, contact me and we’ll talk about it.

Thanks for your attention,

RM
